Amie Boothe
Managing Partner / Creative Director
Sails: Boats, but prefers any boat that can get up on a plane and make the hairs stand up on the back of her neck
Amie is a designer and web consultant who specializes in web interface and icon design, HTML coding and CSS, e-newsletters and HTML email, illustration, as well as branding and identity design. Outside of the creative field, Amie has a passion for sailing and, given that she was practically born on a sailboat (not kidding — ask her to tell you the story), she has been sailing her entire life. Born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, she started sailing Sunfish, Lasers, and competing with her Jr. Yacht Club sailing team in GYA events on Flying Scotts. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to sail for two years in college for the College of Charleston varsity sailing team and while there, she taught sailing for yacht clubs including Pass Christian YC in Mississippi, James Island YC in South Carolina, and SSA in Annapolis, Maryland. As a graphic designer, Amie continues to support small and large regattas and grass-root junior sailing teams with websites, logos and t-shirt designs to help give them a more professional presence in the sailing community and help them attract more participants.
Amie started Regatta Designs with the aim to combine her team’s passion for the sport of sailing with their collective creative talents. She is positioning the business to help promote the sport of sailing in the eyes of the general public, the media, and the global sailing community. On occasion, she also intends to continue to contribute to the sailing community through volunteering and the sponsorship of selected teams.
